Cake/Baked Goods Pickup Instructions
· Generally, your order will be packaged in a sealed box to protect from dust, rain or foreign objects (with the exception of extremely large or gravity defying cakes that may not fit packaging)
· The best way to transport your order is in the back of a van, station wagon or SUV. If none of these options are available, it is possible to transport smaller sized orders on the floorboard of a car.
· Under no Circumstances should a cake be transported on a vehicle seat or on someone’s knee/lap.
· On warm days, it is imperative that your vehicle have a working cooling unit (air conditioning). Please run it before your pick up until your car’s interior is cool
· Allowing pets to be in the car during any transport is strongly discouraged.
· Driver must take extreme caution, keeping the vehicle level at all times, especially when turning corners, and must avoid any sudden acceleration, cornering or aggressive braking.
· Please adhere to the agreed-upon pick up time.
Cake/Baked Goods Pickup Disclaimer
When opting to pick up your order instead of having it delivered you understand that transporting this type of bakery item requires all of the above pre-arrangements. Momma Bears Sweet Treats is not responsible for any order once it is released to the client. We will not refund or replace damaged cakes/baked goods. All orders are shown to the client upon pick up to assure of condition. Clients assume full responsibility for the condition of the order. If a client elects a representative to pick up and set up the cake/baked good, client assumes full liability and responsibility for the condition of the items once it leaves Momma Bears Sweet Treats possession.
You acknowledge that once you have picked up your cake, Momma Bears Sweet Treats cannot be held liable for any damage or failure that may occur once the item is picked up from location or during transport, handling, set up or display. Once you have the order, it is your responsibility to transport it directly to the event venue and not leave it unattended in your vehicle or anywhere outside.
Outdoor Locations: Humidity and heat can adversely affect your bakery items. In the warmer months, it is recommended that all items be kept in a well air-conditioned space or, at the very least, a cool area. Client acknowledges that Momma Bears Sweet Treats is in no way responsible for any damage that may occur due to weather conditions or outdoor locations including heat, humidity, wind, insects, etc. Bakery items should never be displayed in direct sunlight or anywhere that sunlight may eventually move to. Please prepare a back-up plan in case of inclement weather. Determine some place safe where the baked goods can be displayed indoors on exceedingly hot days or in case of rain.
Post-Setup Precautions – Once the cake/baked item assembly/setup is complete at your event venue, Momma Bears Sweet Treats is not responsible for any damage to the items. If your venue is outdoors, it is your responsibility to take the necessary precautions (shading, level ground, insect netting, wind protection, temperature control, etc.) to ensure that all items remain intact beyond initial setup.
Liability for Mistakes – While we make every effort to provide exactly the flavors, fillings, decorations, sizes, shapes and colors you have requested, the creation of baked goods is an art and may be subject to slight variations. Any food coloring added to the sponge, or the frosting of your bakery items may alter the taste of the product, mask the flavor, and may stain the teeth and mouth. Momma Bears Sweet Treats will not be held responsible for these effects.
Allergies- Momma Bears Sweet Treats equipment comes in contact with peanuts, nuts, soy and other potential allergens. I make sure that all equipment is cleaned thoroughly to help avoid direct contact. If you should require a product to be specific allergen free, please notify me at time of placing order and if I cannot accommodate the request, I will notify you at that time. I do not take allergies lightly and will never risk the health of my customers.
